PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN(back to top)
Second Shift 3:00pm-11:00pm. Position responsible for diagnosing equipment problems, performing regular routine maintenance/preventive maintenance tasks, making sure production area and equipment is clean and in good working order when not in use. Responsible to complete tasks needed to ensure emergencies with equipment are kept to a minimum. Mechanical background/aptitude are required. Electrical knowledge is a strong plus. Boiler, gas and incinerator experience are also desired. Must be a reliable and self motivated individual with a natural problem solving interest. Must have a good work ethic. Solid work history desired. Technical training in mechanics, motors, electrical/wiring, and pumps are a strong plus. Must be able to pass a breathing test. Minimum of high school diploma or GED.

Excellent managerial communication skills are required for maintaining full technical & fiscal responsibilities for all lab programs; development & execution of a business plan; generating cost proposals & billing projections; interfacing with customer/subcontractor to develop new testing programs.
Experience managing and motivating people in a technical aerospace environment, and a work ethic/drive to assure all testing activities & test equipment maintenance schedules are performed in a timely and safe manner. A detailed understanding of mechanical & thermal material property test methods, NDE and quality procedures, experience in SEM operation, & background in analytical chemistry are a plus.
Position is responsible for assuring all test programs & work flow requirements are met, writing final test reports. Daily coordination/ supervision of activities and information between lab technicians & various managers/departments. Position requires a Master's degree or equivalent degree and experience (preferably in an engineering/technical discipline).

Responsible for inspecting incoming and outgoing items to customer specifications, performing visual inspections, weighing, measuring, calculating densities, and calibrating company owned measuring tools and equipment. Complete standard inspection reports. Verify specified customer requirements and quality levels prior to shipment. Requires a well-organized, detail oriented individual to work in the manufacturing areas. Knowledge of and experience in using measurements and weighing tools required. Experience in auditing manufacturing operations is a plus. Ability to work around carbon processing equipment as a mechanical inspector. Prior background in related quality responsibilities is desired. Must pass vision test. Possible evening shift (2-10pm). High school diploma or GED. Computer knowledge of Word and Excel software. Any related quality system classes/training a strong plus.
